"Dragon Hope"

There was once a girl named Kyinn,
Who became a candidate for weyrwoman.
In her heart was faith and dignity as always and again.
And then she Impressed a queen, Shacin!
"She was the greatest weyrwoman of all,"
Said the saddened weyrman, "Indeed."
But alas, she was kidnapped by bandits for the Weyr was to fall
From the tragedy. They searched for any clues, Weyrman in lead.
Luckily for Kyinn she had escaped and ran to Ruatha Hold,
Where she secretly mean Javorn the Lord with his dragon, Ruth.
Every minute she thought of her weyrman, J'mal, but remained bold,
And beside Jaxom and Ruth on her gold queen did help to tell you the truth.
At last J'mal and Kyinn were reunited once again,
And all was well before they together had a child, beloved Jakyinn,
who had the special gift, to talk to each and every dragon,
And lived in peace and harmony with the good people of Pern, dragon, women, and men.
